Telrad Networks, a Lod-based telecommunications equipment developer, has won a multi-year, $2 million per year contract to support and maintain fixed-line infrastructure for all of Ethiopia, the company said on Wednesday. The state-owned Ethiopian Telecommunications Corporation has used Telrad's services for the past two decades, and Telrad already maintains most of ETC's fixed-line infrastructure. Telrad also provides technical support and training for ETC staff. The new contract will continue and expand Telrad's involvement in the Ethiopian market. Telrad Networks develops advanced telecommunications systems for emerging markets around the world, and has supplied and maintained switches for Bezeq for decades.
