For the second straight year, Intel Israel has been rated the best high-tech company in the country to work for, followed by Google Israel, IBM, Microsoft and SAP, Business Data Israel Coface Ltd., said Wednesday in its annual report. The BDICoface survey was conducted among over 12,000 workers in high-tech companies around the country. Economists at BDICoface pointed out that high-tech workers who serve in army reserve duty are receiving special treatment from many employers. Many of the surveyed high-tech workers said that the company they work for sent packages for them and their families while they were on reserve duty, and workers on reserve duty are being compensated with vacations and other perks. Furthermore, it was found that the companies rated by the high-tech workers spent an average of between 1% to 2% of their annual budget on worker perks and social activities, which often involve family participation. Such activities may include movies, theatre, trips, sport activities and more. Rating the best company to work for, high-tech workers rated Intel, which employs 7,350 workers, as number one.
