Environmental Protection Ministry to look at enforcement practices

Environmental Protection Minister Gilad Erdan (Likud) appointed an intra-ministerial committee to examine the ministry's enforcement practices on Sunday. Calling increased enforcement against polluters one of the major goals of his tenure, Erdan instructed the members to look into ways of shortening the processes, which can sometimes take years to bring to a close. The committee must come up with their recommendations within a month.
