Abu Ghosh Vocal Music Festival – The Abu Ghosh Festival is the leading and most important festival on the Israeli vocal music scene. The festival has existed in its present form since 1992 and takes place twice a year – on Succot and Shavuot, lasting between three to five days each time. This is the 40th festival of vocal music, with 17 concerts, which runs on October 19-22.

Jimi Hendrix Tribute – A psychedelic tribute to guitarist and legend Jimi Hendrix, whose successful career spanned only four years. Magical Mystery Tour: A Salute to The Beatles – A magical and mysterious journey through the world of The Beatles and their wonderful songs that changed the face of music in the 1960s. Rochale Is Getting Married: Beit Lessin Theater – The beautiful, smart and talented Rochale has finally found a groom at her late 30s. Shloime, her father, a widower who is a Holocaust survivor, is beside himself with excitement. But after meeting the groom, who looks perfect, painful memories come up from wartime in Poland. A moving drama by Savyon Liebrecht, based on her story “Rochele’s Perfect Groom” from the collection A Love Story Needs an Ending.

God – Woody Allen’s play God is an irreverent and spontaneous farce. Set in an empty Greek amphitheater, this madcap play-within-a-play flits chaotically between ancient and modern times as an actor and a writer struggle to find a suitable ending for a play.
The play skids along farcically until the actor and writer reach the same conclusion: There’s neither an end nor a beginning.

Organ Recital 2011 – This concert will be given by Roman Krasnovsky, who teaches piano at the Karmiel Conservatory after having taught at the Rubin Academy in Jerusalem. He started to study the organ when his career as a pianist and harpsichordist was already well established. He accompanied worldfamous violinist Viktoria Mullova. Krasnovsky performs on the best organs of the Netherlands, Switzerland, Italy, Germany, England, Belgium and the US; and also at St. Saviour, which many say has one of the best organs in the Holy Land. American Academy in Jerusalem – Four senior level artists and cultural leaders were chosen to spend a nine-week residency in Jerusalem, where they will develop individual projects with their local peers, involving social engagement. The New York-based Foundation for Jewish Culture will hold the launch, which is open to the public and will include greetings by cultural leaders, while each fellow will discuss his or her vision for their residency in Jerusalem.
