10 sailors missing as S. Korean fishing boat sinks
By JERUSALEM POST STAFF
Ten sailors were missing Wednesday morning after a fishing boat sank overnight off the southeast coast of South Korea.
Coast Guard officer Kim Sun-im said the 79-ton ship sank in high waves and the crew's status was unclear.
Kim said the Coast Guard has dispatched eight ships, a helicopter and a team of divers. But she said waves up to 5 meters high were hampering the search-and-rescue operation.
The incident occurred in the waters off Gampo, about 380 kilometers southeast of Seoul.
