Afghan man convicted in 'honor killing' of sister

A 24-year-old Afghan immigrant has been convicted of murdering his 16-year-old sister in a so-called "honor killing" in Germany. A Hamburg state court convicted Ahmad Obeidi on Friday and sentenced him to life in prison for stabbing his sister, Morsal Obeidi, to death in a parking lot in the city last year. Obeidi admitted to the killing. He said he believed his sister had brought dishonor to his family. He told the court he had seen her with many male friends at the train station and thought she might be working as a prostitute.
