Bush unexpectedly meets Peres, Livni after interfaith conference

President Shimon Peres and Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni were meeting Thursday with outgoing US President George W. Bush in the UN headquarters in New York, on the sidelines of an interfaith conference initiated by Saudi King Abdullah. The meeting was not scheduled in advance. At the end of his speech at the conference Bush requested to meet with the Peres and Livni, and the three met in a side room at the UN headquarters after the conference ended, Army Radio reported. It was not clear what the leader of the free world and the Israeli envoys to the conference were discussing.
