Candidates to head IAEA make their case

Five candidates to succeed Mohamed ElBaradei as head of the International Atomic Energy Agency have made their case to the agency's governing board. Jean-Pol Poncelet of Belgium, Ernest Petric of Slovenia and Spain's Luis Echavarri were nominated by their countries after Japan's Yukiya Amano and South Africa's Abdul Samad Minty failed to get two-thirds board support in a previous round. All spoke Tuesday. New voting is likely in late June or in July.
