A Turkish man who had been comatose for four years since he was wounded during the 2010 raid of the Gaza-bound Mavi Marmara flotilla died on Friday, Turkish media reported.Uğur Süleyman Söylemez, aged 51, was wounded by Israeli commandos during the incident that sparked a diplomatic crisis between Jerusalem and Ankara.Report has surfaced recently of the nearing of the finalization of a compensation deal that Israel and Turkey have been negotiation on for months over the Navy commandos boarding the Turkish ship on May 30, 2010 after it challenged Israel's naval blockage of the Gaza Strip.After coming under attack on the vessel, the Israeli forces killed eight Turks and a Turkish-American.In a rapprochement brokered by the United State, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu apologized to his Turkish counterpart Tayyip Erdogan last year and pledged compensation to the bereaved or hurt.Reuters contributed to this report.
