Computer bugs ground flights and halt NY stock exchange

US officials say there is no indication that the two incidents are related.

Intercontinental Exchange Inc's (ICE.N) NYSE Group, which includes the New York Stock Exchange, said on Wednesday that it had temporarily suspended trading in all of securities on its exchanges following earlier reports of technical difficulties.
The New York Stock Exchange took to twitter to inform traders that they are "experiencing technical issues," and that they were working to resolve the problem as soon as possible.

Also on Wednesday, all United Airlines flights in the United States were grounded on due to a computer issue, according to CNBC. The flight schedule returned to normal shortly after.
US officials have told NBC that there is no indication that the two incidents are related and Homeland security says there are no signs of malicious activity or cyber attack at this time.
