Explosion occurs outside bank in Turkey

The official Anatolia news agency said on Saturday that a small explosion occurred outside a bank in Istanbul, Turkey's business center. It reported no injuries, but the private Dogan news agency said one person was wounded. The blast occurred outside the Vakis Bank in a low-income part of the city. It was not immediately known what kind of explosive had been used or who may have set it. There have been several bomb attacks on the streets of Istanbul this year, all blamed by the government on Kurdish rebels fighting for autonomy in southeastern Turkey.
