Greek militants claim attack on TV station

A small militant group has claimed responsibility for a gunfire attack this week on a private television station in Athens, a police official said Friday. He said the far-left Sect of Revolutionaries claimed it carried out Tuesday's attack outside the Alter TV offices, which caused no injuries. The police official, who was speaking on customary condition of anonymity, would not disclose the text of the claim or say where it was found. Earlier, Ta Nea newspaper reported it had received the document and would print it Saturday. Police had already confirmed that the guns used in the attack on Alter TV also were used in the Sect of Revolutionaries Feb. 3 gun and grenade attack on an Athens police station that hurt no one.
