Greek police said they have confiscated 57 kilograms of heroin found in a car at the country's main border crossing with Turkey.
A drug-sniffing dog discovered the heroin in 100 packages in the car.
Police arrested the car's 29-year-old Bulgarian driver and his 20-year-old girlfriend.
A police statement said the couple told Greek customs officials Sunday they had been to Turkey and were traveling overland to France.
