Revelers rang in 2015 with celebrations around the world on Wednesday night.

In Israel, New Year's Eve kept paramedics busy, with MDA treating 137 people who were hurt in connection with celebrations.Twenty-five people were injured in car accidents,  five of whom were moderately hurt and the remainder suffering light injuries.New Year's Eve brawls led to injuries for 24 people, two of whom were moderately hurt and the rest only lightly wounded.Fifty-four people needed treatment after drinking too much alcohol and 23 people fainted. Tragedy struck in Shanghai, China during New Year's celebrations when 35 people were killed in a stampede.The Shanghai government said large crowds started to stampede in Chen Yi Square on the Bund just before midnight, with authorities working to rescue and aid the wounded.The trigger for the stampede has still to be confirmed, but state media and witnesses said the incident was at least partly caused when people tried picking up fake money.
