Iran's Revolutionary Guards dismantles unspecified number of Web sites
By JERUSALEM POST STAFF
Iran's Revolutionary Guards has dismantled an unspecified number of Web sites that allegedly received financial assistance from foreign governments, Iran's official news agency reported Thursday.
The IRNA agency said the Guards also arrested several of the Web site's owners for allegedly operating anti-Islamic and pornographic sites.
The report did not provide further details including the identity of those arrested or names of the dismantled Web sites.
Iran has repeatedly accused the United States and some of its allies of seeking to undermine the country's ruling system. Authorities have arrested - and later released - several Iranian-Americans over the past two years on charges of seeking to overthrow the government.
