Irish gov't minister held at gunpoint in robbery

An Irish government minister was among several guests at a golf resort hotel who were held at gunpoint during a robbery, police said Monday. Police Sgt. Gerry Curley says no shots were fired and no one was injured during Monday's raid on the Marriott Hotel at the Druids Glen golf resort south of Dublin. Curley says European Affairs Minister Dick Roche was among the guests held captive by the gang as it robbed the hotel's safe. Curley declined to specify how much money was taken or whether Roche or any other guests were robbed. He said one of the three gang members was carrying a shotgun, and all escaped by car.
