Ten Israelis were lightly injured when a minivan overturned on a bridge in southern Argentina, the Foreign Ministry in Jerusalem said on Thursday.
They were transferred to a local hospital.
“The driver drove like a crazy person,” one of the injured passengers told Army Radio. “He just kept speeding up, and then suddenly the bus flipped until it hit the security barrier. If not for that we would have fell down the ravine.”
Only one of the injured is still hospitalized and her injuries are not life-threatening.
The bus had 10 Israeli tourists on board, plus a local driver. It was traveling near Lake Espejo and the town of Villa La Angostura on Wednesday when the driver apparently lost control of the vehicle on a slope, for reasons that are unclear.
