A Munich-based lawyer for retired Ohio autoworker John Demjanjuk says his client could arrive in Germany Wednesday to face charges he served as a Nazi death camp guard during World War II.
"It could be that he comes tomorrow," Guenther Maull told The Associated Press on Tuesday.
Ulrich Staudigl, a spokesman for the Justice Ministry in Berlin, said Demjanjuk was expected soon.
"Given the current stage of the proceedings, we expect him in the coming days," he said.
