The mayor of Mogadishu said Saturday that a car-bomb attack near an African Union peacekeepers' base killed 15 civilians in the Somali capital.
Mayor Mohamed Osman Ali says it was unclear who was behind the attack in Mogadishu.
Most of southern and central Somalia is held by Islamic insurgents and peacekeepers and government forces come under regular attack in the capital.
