Officials: 4 militants killed in southern Russia

Interior Ministry officials say four suspected militants have been killed in a clash with security forces in the Caucasus region. Ministry officials in the province of Ingushetia say the fighters were hiding in a house in the village of Ordzhonikidzevskaya. The Interior Ministry says police were trying to start talks when militants opened fire. Officials said one civilian and three policemen were wounded in the fighting Sunday. The ministry branch says the ethnic Chechen gunmen were wanted on criminal charges in Ingushetia and the neighboring Russian province of Chechnya.
