Report: Explosion at Turkish ruling party office

A news agency says an explosion has injured five people outside an office for Turkey's ruling party in Istanbul. The Dogan news agency, citing witnesses, says the blast occurred Monday at the entrance of Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan's Justice and Development Party branch in the downtown Sisli district. The cause of the explosion is not immediately clear. Also Monday, a natural gas pipeline blast has killed at least one worker and injured five others in Alikahya town in Izmit province, some 100 kilometers east of Istanbul.
