Report: Israeli diplomats beat up Indian immigration officer in Delhi
'Times of India' says the three diplomatic personnel were on their way to Nepal when the incident took place.

Three Israeli diplomats physically assaulted an immigration officer at the main international airport in New Delhi, according to a report in The Times of India.The junior-level emissaries reportedly “slapped and roughed up” the airport official whom they perceived as taking too long to permit them through the gate. The Israelis were headed to Nepal on a diplomatic mission.According to The Times of India, the three Israeli diplomatic personnel were questioned by local police and released. Since they benefit from diplomatic immunity, authorities could not arrest them.Local authorities have contacted the Israeli embassy in India in order to assist in the investigation. According to the report, closed-circuit television footage of the incident corroborates the claims of the immigration officer.“There was an incident, and after a brief investigation it ended without any charges of any sort,” a Foreign Ministry spokesperson told The Jerusalem Post.
