Taliban extend cease-fire in Pakistani valley

Militants in Pakistan's Swat valley have extended their cease-fire indefinitely, giving more time for peace talks,a Taliban spokesman said on Tuesday. Pakistani authorities offered to introduce Islamic law in Swat and the surrounding region if militants agreed to lay down their arms. Security forces also stopped their military activity. Taliban spokesman Muslim Khan said that the militants' cease-fire had been extended indefinitely. It was due to expire on Wednesday.
