Turkey's military said that four Kurdish rebels have been killed in a clash with security forces in southeastern Turkey. The military said Friday the clash took place near the southeastern town of Lice, north of the city of Diyarbakir. The statement said two of the rebels were women. It did not specify when the clash took place. Kurdish rebels, also known as PKK, have been fighting for autonomy in the region since 1984. Tens of thousands of people have been killed since then.
