British police said Sunday they have arrested a man who reportedly said he was asked to join the group of suicide bombers who attacked London in July. London's Metropolitan Police said anti-terrorist officers arrested a 27-year-old man in the Dewsbury area of West Yorkshire late Saturday. He was arrested on suspicion of the "commission, preparation or instigation of acts of terrorism," a police spokesman said. He said the arrest was in connection with the investigation into the July 7 bombings that killed 52 commuters and four suicide attackers, and followed a report in the News of the World newspaper. He spoke on condition of anonymity, as is customary with British police officials.More about:London, News of the World, West Yorkshirefunction initServerVars() { _headup.clientHost = 'http://newstopics.jpost.com'; _headup.termsFromServer = 'London$$News of the World$$West Yorkshire'; _headup.annotatedTerms = ['dbpedia:London$$1', 'dbpedia:News_of_the_World$$1'] _headup.widgetMode = 'snippet'; _headup.snippetButtonStyle = 'banner'; _headup.blackListedUrl = false; } <!-- Terms Count: 3 TTL: 60 Terms From Server: News of the World, West Yorkshire, London DateTime: 6/1/2011 5:57:08 AM -->
