US Marines delay tribunal examining shooting of Afghan civilians

A US Marine Corps legal tribunal called to investigate the killing of 19 Afghan civilians earlier this year is being delayed.
Spokesman Major Sean Gibson says the court of inquiry has been pushed back tentatively to the first week of December. The court had been scheduled to start this week at Camp Lejeune.
The inquiry is focusing on a company commander and platoon leader.
Officials say as many as 19 people were killed and 50 injured in March when members of the Marine special operations company opened fire after their convoy was rammed by a vehicle loaded with explosives.
