The US government has warned of reports that Al Qaida intends to attack the data systems of banking and stock brokerage firms via the Internet, Army Radio reported.
While the State Department confirmed on Thursday that such threats had been received, it did not provide details on the source of the information or how reliable it appeared to be.
Nevertheless, Thursday's trading seemed unaffected.
