A woman was recovering on Monday after being wounded by an arrow on Sunday while walking on a New York City street.
Police said the 30-inch (76-centimeter) arrow struck Denise Delgado-Brown in the stomach as she was dropping off fellow churchgoers at a nursing home in the Bronx.
She underwent surgery at St. Barnabas Hospital and was listed in stable condition. She is about 50 years old.
Police said the fiberglass arrow is the type that can be used for either practice or hunting, and was probably shot in the air at random.
