Bush says 'all options on the table' in dealing with Iran

US President George W. Bush said "all options are on the table" in trying to get Iran to drop its nuclear ambitions. Speaking at a joint news conference with German Chancellor Angela Merkel on Wednesday, Bush said that "my first choice is to solve this diplomatically but all options are on the table." Merkel said the two talked about "the offers we are making to Iran but naturally also the fact that if Iran does not respond to them further sanctions must follow." Bush said before anything else "we'll give diplomacy a chance to work" with Iran.
