'Iran will consider action against nuclear facilities as start of war'

Iran's official news agency says the country would consider any military action against its nuclear facilities as the beginning of a war. Friday's report by the IRNA news agency quotes the commander of Iran's Revolutionary Guards, Gen. Mohammad Ali Jafari, as saying that any country that attacks Iran would regret doing so. According to the report, Jafari says such a step would be "the beginning of war." However, the general is also quoted as saying that he thinks a strike by Iran's adversaries is unlikely. Jafari spoke Thursday. An Israel military exercise last month was seen as a strong warning for Iran. The US and Israel say Iran's nuclear program is intended to produce weapons, while Iran insists it's only for energy.
