Iranian official meets Shallah, congratulates Gazans on "great victory"

In a meeting with Palestinian Islamic Jihad leader Ramadan Abdullah Shallah, Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council Saeed Jalili congratulated Gazans on their "victory against the Zionist regime" during Operation Cast Lead, calling it a "great success," the Iranian ISNA news agency reported on Wednesday afternoon.
During the meeting, Shallah reportedly expressed gratitude for Iran's support in the Gazans activity against "Israel aggressions."
Jalili was quoted as saying that Israel had lost its power more than ever before "as its criminal nature has been revealed for the entire world to see," and called for Palestinians to unite against Israel.
The Jerusalem Post could not confirm the report.
