Report: Iranians building four more satellites

Iranian Telecommunications Minister Mohammad Soleimani was quoted by Meher News Agency as saying that the country was in the process of building four more space satellites, Reuters reported Sunday. Last week, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad announced the launch of Iran's first domestically produced satellite, called the 'Omid,' or 'Hope' in English. "There are now four other satellites being manufactured by Iranian experts," he was quoted as saying, without giving details as to when the satellites would be launched. Soleimani added that the 'Omid' was successfully performing its mission.
