An additional woman came forward on Sunday to testify she was sexually harassed by famed actor Moshe Ivgy, and said a film producer dissuaded her from going to police.
The woman, using the alias “Yael,” said in an interview with Israel Radio on Sunday that she pushed off the actor when he groped and made sexual advances on her. Yael, a TV and film producer, also said she witnessed the actor sexually and verbally harass other women on the set.
Yael said during her interview that she spoke to the executive producer of the project she was working on, and said she wanted to go to the police. She said the producer talked her out of it, and brought in Ivgy to apologize to her.
“To this day there hasn’t been a single producer willing to stop their precious filming in order to tell Ivgy ‘no, this is not how you treat women on a movie set, go home,’” Yael said.
The station reached out to Ivgy’s attorney for a response but said he refused.
Two weeks ago police confirmed it had opened an official criminal investigation into the claims against Ivgy. The announcement came days after news site Walla ran a story reporting that six women who formerly worked with the actor had accused him of sexually harassing him, including at least two who had taken polygraph tests that asserted they were telling the truth.
Ivgy has denied the allegations.
