American fugitive indicted in alleged terror plot ordered kept in custody

Order comes almost 3 weeks after Adam Everett Livvix was indicted by the Netanya Magistrate’s Court for illegal possession of arms and for being an undocumented alien.

The Petah Tikva Magistrate’s Court on Sunday ordered an American Christian kept in custody until the end of his trial, almost three weeks after he was indicted for acquiring weapons for an alleged plot against Muslim holy sites in Israel.
The American fugitive, Adam Everett Livvix, a Christian who is wanted in the United States for questioning on drug-related charges, was indicted December 9 by the Netanya Magistrate’s Court for illegal possession of arms and for being an undocumented alien.
In court on Sunday, his attorney Gal Wolf said there doesn’t appear to be much evidence in the State’s case against his client. His client “came to Israel because he said, ‘I’m a Christian, I love Jews very much and I think that they are getting a raw deal. I think the state of Israel is an important country,’” Wolf noted.
Last Monday, the IDF legal division announced that it had indicted a lone soldier from the United States who allegedly provided Livvix with explosive bricks and stun grenades while he was staying at the soldier’s apartment in Netanya.
The soldier was indicted on charges of taking weapons from the army’s possession, illegal weapons transactions and other crimes.
Police and the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) have stated that, before his arrest, Livvix spoke openly about plans to bomb Muslim holy sites in Israel and made anti-Arab statements.
Livvix was sent for a psychiatric exam following his indictment and has been ruled fit to stand trial.
