Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio are expected to meet in Washington on Wednesday, Israeli media reported.

This marks the fourth meeting between the two, the most recent of which was during Rubio's October visit to Israel to continue overseeing the implementation of phase one of the US-brokered Gaza deal.

'Extraordinary friend of Israel'

Upon arriving in October, Rubio was greeted by US Ambassador to Israel, Mike Huckabee, and met with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu later in the evening.

"This is a circle of trust and partnership. You've been an extraordinary friend of Israel," Netanyahu told Rubio during the visit.

The visit also followed those of US Vice President JD Vance and US President Donald Trump's envoys Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff.
