As tensions rise in the Gaza Strip, Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT) Maj.-Gen. Yoav Mordechai used social media to say to the people of Gaza: "As we promised, we keep our word!"
Speaking of the recent IDF strike against Hamas on Saturday, Mordechai said, "We struck quality targets of the terrorist organization Hamas, which is responsible for Gaza."
"People of Gaza," he added, "keep away from the [security] fence," wrote the Maj.-Gen.
"To my great sorrow, your money, which could have been a source of hope for you, is invested in tunnels and military bases [built] by Hamas and fancy houses for their leaders. Where did the tens of millions of shekels Hamas taxed you go?" he asked.

Mordechai ended his post by saying: "All further deterioration of the situation is because of Hamas; don't let them lead you to hell."
