Two Arab teenagers, a minor and an adult, were indicted for suspected ties to ISIS and alleged plans to commit terror attacks, the police and Shin Bet (Israeli Security Agency) announced on Friday.
The minor, a 16-year-old, was arrested earlier this month after an investigation uncovered that he had allegedly sworn loyalty to ISIS.
Several days later, as the investigation continued, the adult, 19-year-old Haifa resident Ibrahim Kaabiyya, was arrested as well, with police saying that he had also sworn loyalty to ISIS.
According to police, Kaabiyya had planned to commit a terror attack against an IDF base in northern Israel, while the unnamed minor had planned to attack Jewish police and military forces on Temple Mount.
The investigation also revealed that the minor had looked for instructions on how to make an explosive vest on the internet.
Bedouin man indicted for contacting ISIS, planning terror attack
Earlier this month, a 20-year-old Bedouin man was also indicted for alleged ties to ISIS and for planning terror attacks.
Abdullah Gergawi, 20, from the Bedouin town of Segev Shalom, was arrested on July 19 on suspicion of having contact with a foreign agent, possessing weapons, and planning to carry out a terror attack near the Forum Club in Beersheba.
Israel Police said that the investigation revealed that Gergawi had been in contact with ISIS activists and consumed related terror content, as well as planning to join the organization in Syria.
