British rock band The Stranglers return to perform in Israel

One of the longest-surviving acts from the British new wave explosion of the late ’70s/’80s, the Stranglers will perform on November 17 at Tel Aviv’s Charles Bronfman Auditorium. This will be the band’s first gig in Israel since they appeared as a warm-up act for Debbie Harry and Blondie in their performance at the Ra’anana Amphitheater in 2008.Formed in 1974, The Stranglers began as a sinister sounding, hard-edged pub rock group, but eventually branched out to explore other styles of music such as new wave, art rock and gothic rock.
