Claude Lelouch and Anouk Aimee top stellar Haifa Film Fest guest list

The festival will open on October 12 and will run until October 21.

 The Lifetime Achievement Award at the 35th Haifa International Film Festival will be given to legendary French director, Claude Lelouch, it was announced on Sunday.
Lelouch has directed such classics as A Man and a Woman (1966) and And Now My Love (1974).
The prize will be awarded with the participation of iconic Jewish actress, Anouk Aimee, who starred in A Man and a Woman. The two will be present at a screening of that film.
Other festival guests will include Stephan Elliott, the director who made the cult classic, The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary; Oscar-nominated director, Agnieszka Holland, who will be presenting her latest film, Mr. Jones, a gripping fact-based drama about a journalist who risked his life to expose the man-made famine in Soviet-controlled Ukraine in the 1930s; and Hans Petter Moland, whose film, Out Stealing Horses, will be shown.
Israeli director, Guy Nattiv, who won the Best Live Action Short Oscar this year for Skin, will attend, along with his wife, actress/producer Jaime Ray Newman, who will present the feature-length version of Skin.
Krzysztof Zanussi, the distinguished Polish director who made classics such as Life as a Fatal Sexually Transmitted Disease and Camouflage, will serve as the head of the Carmel International Competition Jury.
Marthe Cohn, the 99-year-old Jewish author and nurse who was a spy in Nazi Germany, will present a documentary celebrating her life, Chichinette – The Accidental Spy.
Helena Trestíková will be present at screenings of Forman vs. Forman, her documentary about Oscar-winning director Milos Forman (One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest).
There will be dozens of other distinguished guests representing various film festivals, television networks and talent agencies who will be participating as judges in various pitching competitions.
