IDF prepares for crossing of 10,000 Palestinians through Jordan to Mecca

The Coordinator of Government and Activities in the Territories (COGAT) completed preparations for passage of 10,000 Palestinians to the pilgrimage to the Al-Haram mosque in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, COGAT said in a statement released Monday.The pilgrims, Palestinian Muslims from the West Bank, will travel across the Allenby Bridgeto Jordan in order to take part in the umrah, the Islamic pilgrimage to Mecca.The commander of the Allenby Bridge in the Civil Administration, Maj. Hadi Khatib, congratulated the pilgrims."I am pleased to announce that we are prepared to welcome the pilgrims to the Al-Haram Mosque in Mecca," Khatib said."And hope that Allah will receive your answer and your umrah, and we are constantly working to improve the services provided at the Allenby Bridge for all of you," he added.
