Il Divo, the male singing quartet originally formed by Simon Cowell, arrived in Israel on Sunday ahead of a Tuesday night show in Tel Aviv.The four singers – Carlos Marín, Urs Bühler, David Miller and Sébastien Izambard – landed in the Holy Land with time to see the sites before their performance. The group posed for photos next to the large menorah replica at Ben-Gurion Airport, and all dutifully uploaded pictures to their Instagram accounts.“I’m sooo excited to be in Israel and absorbing all the history this amazing country has,” wrote Izambard. In an Instagram story on the bus heading to Jerusalem Monday morning, he added that he has “been waiting all my life to do this.”Marin wrote that he was in Israel and “enjoying today [and] tomorrow to see Jerusalem” before the show at the Menora Mivtachim Arena in Tel Aviv.The group came straight from performing in Beirut at the Jounieh Summer Festival on Saturday night. They had a short stopover in Amman on the way, since there are of course no direct flights between Lebanon and Israel.The group, which was first formed in 2003, has released eight popular albums and collaborated with artists such as Toni Braxton and Celine Dion. Their concert in Tel Aviv on Tuesday night will be the group’s first ever in Israel.
