Netflix has gotten a taste of Israeli drama – and it wants more.After the critical success of Fauda, the Israeli spy thriller that has audiences around the world buzzing, the streaming service has ordered two more shows from the series creators, it announced on Thursday.Avi Issacharoff and Lior Raz, who were behind Fauda, will be producing two original programs for Netflix – one unnamed series and another titled Hit and Run.The unnamed series is based on real events, and follows CIA and Mossad agents working to track down the world’s most wanted terrorist.Hit and Run, meanwhile, will see a happily married man watch his life turn upside down when his wife is killed in a mysterious accident, said Netflix.Fauda was originally created for the Israeli satellite TV provider Yes in 2015. In 2016, Netflix picked up the show and added it to its lineup – keeping the Arabic and Hebrew dialogue and adding subtitles for viewers around the globe. The streaming service then bought the rights to the second series as well.The show won six Ophir Awards in Israel.“Lior and Avi are excellent storytellers and we’re proud to expand our relationship with them,” said Cindy Holland, vice president of original content for Netflix.
