Netflix sets release date for Fauda's second season

The wait is almost over.

It’s probably the question I receive most often these days, both on social media and in person: When is the second season of Fauda coming to Netflix? While Israelis just finished watching the TV show’s first season, those outside of the country – and those hoping for subtitles – have been breathlessly waiting. But the wait is almost over. Show creator and star Lior Raz announced on Twitter on Friday that the show will hit Netflix globally on May 24.
Fauda, produced by Israeli TV provider YES and created by Raz and Avi Issacharoff, has garnered international attention and acclaim. After its first season hit Netflix in late 2016, the thriller – which dramatizes the Israeli-Palestinian conflict in all its shades of gray – became a runaway success.
The series made the New York Times list of top TV shows of 2017, and YES renewed it for a third season before the second even aired – a rare move for Israeli TV. When Conan O’Brien was in Israel in September, he even filmed a fake scene for, as he put it, “one of my favorite shows.
