The French Comedy Film Festival “Oh La La” marks its third year with a hilarious lineup of some of the best French comedy films.
The festival will run from November 16 to December 5 at the Jerusalem, Haifa, Tel Aviv, Rosh Pina and Sderot cinematheques, as well as the cultural center in Savyon, Globus Max Ashdod and the Yad Labanim House in Ra’anana. There will be special screenings on two weekends at Kochav Cinema in Ramat Hasharon, and two films will also be screened at Cinema City Glilot, Jerusalem and Netanya.
Sponsored by the Institut Francais, the festival features over 18 contemporary comedies, some older classics and short films.
Opening the festival is Eric Toledano and Olivier Nakache’s C’est la vie! This film tells the story of the behind-thescenes goings-on at a very tasteful wedding held in a 17th-century castle. Other films include Louis Malle’s 1960 classic comedy Zazie dans le Metro and Jean Renoir’s 1932 social satire comedy Boudu Saved from Drowning.
All movies are in French with subtitles in English, Hebrew or both.
