Legendary heavy metal rocker Ozzy Osbourne is excited about his upcoming trip to Israel – and doesn’t care about any backlash.
Osbourne – alongside his wife, Sharon – gave a press conference in Los Angeles on Tuesday to discuss his upcoming global farewell tour. After a reporter asked if his family would be joining him at any point in his travels, Sharon shared some information that Ozzy didn’t even know.
“There are certain places that my kids want to see,” she said, “and Kelly and Jack really want to come to Israel so they’ll be with us in Israel.”
Osbourne announced in November that the Holy Land would be a stop in his upcoming tour. The rocker will touch down in July and play one show at the Rishon Lezion Live Park.
Tickets for the July 8 show are already on sale and range from NIS 319 to the intentional figure of NIS 666.
When asked by a reporter at the press conference about any backlash over playing in Israel, Sharon was unequivocal.
“I’m half a heeb,” she said, “and we play where we want to play, that’s it.”
Ozzy chimed in to add that “the last time I played in Israel it was a great, great concert.” Osbourne last appeared here in 2010, when he played in Hayarkon Park.
