Social investments Capital Market Authority head Dorit Salinger recently gave a speech at a conference held by Social Finance Israel and Greeneye in Tel Aviv about the new guidelines regarding channeling investments.According to Salinger, the Israeli regulator must initiate and promote social investments, and push institutional bodies to follow environmental, social, and administrative parameters when making decisions about how to channel their investments. The conference dealt with the new circular and its implications for making responsible investments. Other speakers included Sir Ronald Cohen, Chairman of SFI, who spoke about developments in the world’s most influential investment sector, and Yaron Neudorfer, CEO of SFI.3. Women in Science Last Tuesday, the Weizmann Institute’s scientific club, which is made up of large donors, held an event at the Tel Aviv Hilton Hotel. The long-established club is led by chairman Shimshon Harel, an owner of American Israel, and CEO Yael Goren-Wegman.The evening, which was sponsored by Credit Suisse, was dedicated to the theme of Women in Science. The first Ronit Elkabetz Film Festival ceremony was held on Wednesday at an exhibition titled, ‘Je t’aime, Ronit Elkabetz’, which is on display at the Design Museum Holon. A new project is underway at the museum to identify artists whose artwork resonates with Elkabetz’s vision as a woman, actress and creator. TASETel Aviv Stock Exchange CEO Ittai Ben-Zeev and Mellanox President and CEO Eyal Waldman met to announce that Mellanox Technologies was chosen to provide all communications infrastructures for the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange, including the commercial and organizational networks. Ben-Ze’ev said that choosing Mellanox solutions will enable them to achieve the best communication performance possible for the TASE’s infrastructure and will enable them to respond to developments in the capital market and technological challenges expected in the coming years.
