1. FILM: NOTHING BUT THE....
The drama Truth details the 2004 CBS 60 Minutes report investigating president George W. Bush’s military service during the Vietnam War and the subsequent criticism that cost anchor Dan Rather and producer Mary Mapes their careers. With Cate Blanchett, Robert Redford, Dennis Quaid.
2. MUSIC: SURREAL SLUMBER
Combining a love of ambient music and old instruments, Sleep Party People is the brainchild of Brian Batz, a Danish multiinstrumentalist who has been characterized by wearing rabbit masks in his performances. In 2010, his first CD was described in the Danish media as “a hazy, dreamy and wondrous debut album.”

3. FESTIVAL: SPRING HAS SPRUNG
The international Musical Spring Festival at Kibbutz Kfar Blum offers a weekend of classical concerts, lectures and master classes featuring local young musicians and compositions. Artists include the Gilad Ephrat Ensemble, violinist Roman Shpitzer and cellist Zvi Plesser, with works by Mozart, Brahms and Beethoven.

4. FESTIVAL: VIVE LA FRANCE
The 13th annual French Film Festival at the Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Haifa, Holon, Herzliya, Ashdod and Sderot cinematheques features a distinguished guest list and the best of contemporary French cinema. The festival opens with Un + une, screened in the presence of the film’s renowned director, Claude Lelouch. In the film, a French composer (Jean Dujardin) falls in love after traveling to India to write the score for the Indian version of Romeo and Juliet.

5. CHILDREN: CHILL OUT
Jerusalem’s annual Yambakerah will be held at Cinema City until April 30. At the huge air-conditioned ice rink complex, there will be sleds in the shape of seals for small children, while older kids can push penguin-shaped skating aids. On certain days, movie tickets will include entry to the skating area.
Sunday through Thursday, 3:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. Fridays 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays, one hour after Shabbat to midnight. Admission NIS 40.
6. THEATER: CUT TO THE CHASTE
The Jerusalem-based English-speaking theater group Starcatcher presents its production of the 2007 Tony-winning rock musical Spring Awakening. Based on the 1891 Frank Wedekind play, it explores the poignant journey of a group of 19thcentury German students as they move from adolescence to adulthood.

7. DANCE: FINDING NEVERLAND
The Kamea Dance Company presents Neverland, a new piece by choreographer Tamar Ginz to music by Avi Belleli.
The work is a fantasy inspired by real events that takes place somewhere… in a place beyond the edge, on the day after.
Maybe that time and place is now?

8. UPCOMING - CHILDREN: PARADE AROUND TOWN
The Ashkelon Municipality, in cooperation with the Hop! TV channel, is hosting the largest Adloyada for Purim 2016. The event features Hop!’s biggest stars, the Royal Orchestra and scores of characters such as Elmo, Maya the Bee, Cinderella and her carriage, pirates, dragons and clowns.
And for the first time in Israel, there will be giant floats of Hello Kitty, Kung Fu Panda and Shrek straight from Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. The city will also host a Brazilian carnival.
Next Thursday, starting at noon, Bar Kochva Street, Ashkelon.
9. UPCOMING - CHILDREN: TOPSY-TURVY FUN
Kids and grown-ups are invited to celebrate “Upside Down: A Purim Celebration of Opposites!” at the Israel Museum.
Highlights include a performance of Mind The Gap by the Mystorin Theater Group, balancing acts by acrobat Yuval Oz (pictured), and Purim-style story time with Yael Frimer. The celebration concludes with a costume competition.
Next Thursday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Israel Museum, Jerusalem. Free for children under 17.
Adults free with museum admission.
10. UPCOMING - PARTY SOMETHING TO RAVE ABOUT
Tel Aviv is hosting its annual Purim Rave Street Party at Kikar Hamedina. The decks will be spun by some of Israel’s finest DJs, such as Dalit Rechester, Smiley, Tomer Meisner and Ace Ventura, and special guest British DJ Mark Knight. Free.
