1. WHODUNIT
Toby Jones and Kim Cattrall star in a two-part BBC miniseries of Agatha Christie’s famous short story and play The Witness for the Prosecution. The brutal murder of widow Emily French seems to have one suspect – Leonard Vole, a handsome young opportunist who was also her lover and the man who was to inherit her enormous wealth. Untangling the truth about this is John Mayhew, a lawyer who takes on what seems like a hopeless case.
Airs Wednesday on HOT VOD.
2. THE BEAR NECESSITIES
American pianist/songwriter and protégé of Quincy Jones, Emily Bear, will perform for the nonprofit organization Save a Child’s Heart. She will be singing with internationally recognized saxophonist Eli Degibri and multi-talented vocalist Marina Maximilian at Zappa Barkan. The singers will perform original compositions of their own, as well as some of their favorite jazz standards.

3. SPIES LIKE US
Encore! Educational Theatre Company presents its latest English musical, Intrepid: The Saga of the NILI Spy Ring. The romantic and intriguing story is set in and around Zichron Ya’acov a century ago, when a group of determined young Zionists succeeded in conveying important military information about the Ottoman Turks to the British command in Egypt. The music was composed by Paul Salter, with the libretto by Robert Binder.

4. SPANNING THE SPECTRUM
Pianist and composer Orit Wolf, in conjunction with the Porter family, will present a series of concert lectures, Music and Muse. In the English lecture series, top international guest artists from Israel and abroad will perform with Wolf in captivating programs. The performances will take listeners to the extremes of musicmaking, from classical repertoire and opera to improvisation and jazz, to tango and bossa nova.

5. INTRIGUE IN BABYLON
The Israeli Opera presents a performance of Verdi’s Nabucco in Beersheba as part of the city’s celebrations marking 100 years since the Battle of Beersheba during WW 1. The opera tells the story of the destruction of Jerusalem by Babylonian king Nebuchadnezzar and the Jews’ attempts to prevent it. Conducted by Sebastiano Rolli, with the Israeli Opera Chorus and the Israel Symphony Orchestra Rishon Lezion.

6. PROLIFIC PIANIST
Following his visit to Israel three years ago, French pianist Richard Clayderman is back and will perform the best of his works, such as the 12-minute Titanic Symphony, as well as pieces from classic films such as West Side Story, Harry Potter, Schindler’s List, Evita and Love Story in a series of concerts in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Haifa and Beersheba. 7. THE ART OF OPERA
The Israeli Opera presents OPERART, an exhibition of artistic photography in which seven Israeli artists present their interpretation of seven operas that will be performed by the Israeli Opera in the 2017-2018 season.
Participating artists include David Adika, Ori Gersht, Gilad Ophir, Pavel Wolberg, Naomi Leshem, Adi Brande and Michal Chelbin Opens Thursday and runs until November 12 at Tel Aviv’s Noga Gallery of Contemporary Art. From November 20, it will be on display in the foyer of the Opera House in Tel Aviv.
8. THAT’S THE SPIRIT
The 11th annual SPIRIT Film Festival at the Tel Aviv Cinematheque showcases feature films, documentaries and short films that focus on the quest for meaning and inspiration and that move people to try to live in harmony with themselves, with the people around them and with the planet. The opening-night film is the US documentary Heal (pictured) by Kelly Noonan Gores, about the power of the mind to heal the body.

9. A STRETCH IN THE DESERT
The Yoga Arava event returns with 25 compounds along the Arava area, featuring some of the best yoga teachers and yoga-light areas for families and beginners. The event constitutes workshops on different kinds of yoga, tours, and group meditation sessions in the desert. The activities are open to all.

10. BOY OH BOY!
Boy George, the 56-year-old British singer known for his eclectic style and androgynous look, will take the stage with his band Culture Club on November 7 at the Menora Mivtahim Arena in Tel Aviv. Formed in the 1980s, Culture Club (Roy Hay, Mikey Craig and Jon Moss) was responsible for some of the biggest hits of that decade. With songs such as “Do You Really Want to Hurt Me?” “Karma Chameleon,” “Time (Clock of the Heart)” and “The War Song,” the pop group gained international fame.
