1. TEARFUL LOVE STORY
The film Midnight Sun is a romantic tearjerker about 17-year-old Katie Price, sheltered at home since childhood with a rare genetic condition – a life-threatening sensitivity to sunlight. Having only her father for company, Katie’s world opens up after dark when she ventures outside to play her guitar. One night, her dreams come true when she’s noticed and asked out by her longtime crush Charlie, whom she’s secretly watched from her window for years. 2. FREE MUSEUMS
Some 30 museums and parks will open their gates for free during Passover as part of the annual Poalim for Culture, Nature and Beauty event, hosted by Bank Hapoalim. Among the museums and sights are the Tel Aviv Museum of Art; The Design Museum Holon; The Bible Lands Museum; The Janco Dada Museum in Ein Hod; The Botanical Gardens, Jerusalem; and the Herzliya Museum.

3. STAND IN LINE
The Cameri Theater presents Tsedi Sarfati’s brilliant adaptation of A Chorus Line, the Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize-winning Broadway classic that paints a true-to-life depiction of performers struggling to achieve greatness.

4. HIT THE DANCE FLOOR DJ
Hardwell, ranked the number one DJ in the world, returns to Israel. Hardwell, who has become big in a relatively short time, hosts his own radio show that is broadcast on 25 international radio stations, a podcast, which is consistently in the iTunes top 10 in 30 countries, and a number one Billboard Dance Chart success with his remix of The Wanted’s “Chasing the Sun.”

5. SOFT TOUCH
Softness is a quality, as well as an indication of changeability: it can describe behavior and a point of view. Sculpting with soft materials, five artists got together to explore the characteristics of softness and its connotations of elasticity, playfulness and elusiveness.
Children are invited to feel the materials on display at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art and immerse themselves in the intricate notion of softness.

6. THE NEXT GENERATION
Out of Clay,” an exhibition of artists Irit Abba and Alon Gil, deals with the relationship between generations of artists. Abba, a leading Israeli ceramic artist, has over the years combined her art with teaching. As a young lecturer in the Ceramics Department of Bezalel, she met Gil, an art student who fell in love with clay. Abba focuses on the concept of the vessel, examining the tension between the volume and the lip, form and color, transparency and coarseness, fragility and vulnerability.
Gil regards his work as an artistic medium to express ideas and feelings employing traditional ceramic techniques with contemporary touches.

7. TWO BALLET CLASSICS
The Russian Ballet Theater from St. Petersburg returns to Israel with two classic performances, The Nutcracker and Swan Lake, after bringing the audience to wild applause in 2015.
The Nutcracker’ will be performed on April 20 and 21, Opera House, Tel Aviv; April 23 in Beersheba; April 24 at the Haifa Auditorium. ‘Swan Lake’ will be performed April 20 to 22 at the Opera House, Tel Aviv.
8. A BREATHTAKING SIEGE
In Under Siege, renowned Chinese choreographer and dancer Yang Liping presents a breathtaking portrayal of a turning point in Chinese history. Through powerful hallucinatory beauty, Under Siege explores the epic battle between the Chu and Han armies, an event that changed the course of Chinese history. Liping combines contemporary dance with Chinese folk dance, kung fu, tai chi, and hip hop, Chinese opera with live musicians on stage, and a captivating variety of ominous set pieces.

9. A CONFLICTED LEADER
The HBO documentary King in the Wilderness is a searing portrait of the last 18 months of Martin Luther King Jr.’s life. It reveals a conflicted leader who faced an onslaught of criticism from both sides of the political spectrum. While the Black Power movement saw his nonviolence as weakness, and president Lyndon B. Johnson saw his anti-Vietnam War speeches as irresponsible, Dr. King’s unyielding belief in peaceful protest became a testing point for a nation on the brink of chaos.

10. PADAM, PADAM
The Ramat Gan Chamber Choir presents a French morning with soprano Keren Hadar, conductor Hannah Zur, and pianist Irit Rob. The choir will perform Edith Piaf’s chansons, as well as French vocal music by Faure, Saint Saens and Gounod.
