A 20-year-old pizza delivery man was shot and killed Monday night during a robbery in the northern town of Nesher.
During the incident, two suspects violently robbed a pizzeria on Hashalom Boulevard before fleeing the scene. During the course of events, the robbers shot and critically wounded the delivery man who was present at the scene.
Emergency response workers evacuated him to Rambam Medical Center in Haifa, where the delivery man succumbed to his wounds later during the night.
"We saw an approximately 20-year-old man at the commercial center who was unconscious with a bleeding wound to his upper body," said Magen David Adom paramedic Aviad Lasry, who treated the wounded man before evacuating him to the hospital.
Police have opened an investigation and continue searching for the perpetrators.
